almost ready!

phew! ive printed out my portfolios, got my booth graphics together, and figured out how to decorate my booth (lots of flourescent pink, and bright purple of course), and just packing the boxes up to ship off to NY. its exciting seeing my logo and graphics blown up onto giant vinyl banners, it makes it seem official.
i'm also signing up with an illustration rep, carol guenzi . i met her at the illustration conference last year, and recently reconnected with her. ive never had a rep before, so im curious how things will change. im so used to repping myself ill be happy to have someone helping with mailing & marketing, etc.
im also finishing up a game design for macromedia, with the help of cyberian design and puzzle designer scott kim. i cant post pix of that yet, bc its top secret till it goes live.
but heres a couple pix from PUFFY P's Little TroubleMaker line

first post

hi, thanks for checking out my blog. this will be the place where i will chat about my illustraion pursuits, and my exploits into the world of creating art for licensing. for the last few months, ive been focusing on pulling all my stuff together to launch my PUFFY P brand at the Licensing Show in NY (booth 1873, javits center, june 20-23).

this is a new pursuit for me. although ive always thought my work was destined to be 'on product', i initally created art so i could manufacture my own stickers, tees, and other cute stuff. but after a few years of headaches, and attending a great workshop by the knowledgable cheryl phelps, it seems licensing my work might be the way to go.

so im biting the bullet, and launching at my first large trade show in 3 weeks. its exciting, but a lot of work! ive been managing a ton of print projects, from large trade show graphics, to press kits, stickers, and otehr swag, writing press releases, and solicting (aka pimping!) my work out to prospective clients.

heres a few images from my Princess GlamourPuss line. you can also see a ton more on puffyp.com

ill continue to write about my illustration pursuits......
